PROVIDING NUTRITIOUS MEALS TO
THE UNDERPRIVILEGED ELDERLY

ABOUT A PLATE OF JOY

The Plate of Joy initiative ensures that over 180 elders who are unable to feed themselves receive two nutritious meals a day. Communities in areas such as Bhayli and Ajwa have greatly benefited from this program, providing seniors, particularly from underserved slum areas, with the assurance that they will never go to bed hungry as long as the organization continues its efforts. In addition to the meals, the program provides essential health support, including vitamins, calcium tablets, asthma pumps, and mobility aids such as walking sticks and crutches. The initiative also contributes to improving the living conditions of these seniors by offering assistance with housing repairs and essential toiletries. Over the course of this year, the organization has provided a total of 129,600 meals to the 180 beneficiaries, demonstrating the significant impact of the Plate of Joy project in enhancing quality of life for vulnerable elders.

This has not only increased the mobility of the elderly, but it has also improved their nutritional levels. Currently feeding 180 people every day, A Plate of Joy is a shining example of how a small act of kindness can make a big difference in the lives of others. The poor elderly, with no family, no support systems, and no income, barely surviving by begging for food and often going days without eating, now have hot meals to fill their stomachs. This initiative brings a smile to that set of people who the world has left to die, and if and when they die, they die with a full stomach and peace in their hearts. It is a testament to the power of compassion and the importance of community, and it is a beacon of hope for the elderly, making a real difference in their lives.

I WOULD LIKE TO CONTRIBUTE

This is the story of Uked bhai, aged 85, and his wife, Dholi ben, aged 80. Despite their age, they face a tough reality - their sons have abandoned them, leaving them to fend for themselves. Once self-sufficient, they now struggle to make ends meet, unable to work on their farm due to their advancing years.

Thankfully, the Plate of Joy program has come to their aid. Twice a day, Mahesh bhai delivers quality meals to their door, providing them with much-needed sustenance. Through this initiative, they can enjoy nutritious food without the worry of cost or availability

For Uked bhai and Dholi ben, these meals bring more than just nourishment; they bring a sense of relief and gratitude. In the midst of the challenges they faced, Circle of Care tries to make their days a little brighter with the help of this program.

Plate of Joy program has become an integral part for this elderly couple, offering them a helping hand when they need it most. In providing them with essential meals, this program has made a tangible difference in their lives.
